A joker mind loss post.
Rent goes up by £150 a month and everyone shrugs. The supermarket moves the eggs to a different aisle and the whole town writes to the local paper. Twelve meetings this week, three of them about other meetings, and nobody says a word. Someone sends an email without "Hi" at the top, and the office goes into mourning. The dog eats an entire sofa cushion and gets a cuddle. You eat one of his biscuits, just to see what the fuss is about, and suddenly the family "needs to talk". Your train is cancelled every Tuesday and the commuters just sigh. The station café runs out of oat milk once, and everyone loses their minds. **Why it caught on:** Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight (2008), in the hospital scene with Harvey Dent: "Nobody panics when things go according to plan." Every double standard fits his speech, and somehow the man in smeared makeup is the most reasonable person in the room.
