Why it caught on: the photo is an elderly Aboriginal Australian man, whose name isn't known, set on the colours of the Aboriginal flag, and the page was mostly racist stereotypes about Indigenous Australians. It spread the way those jokes always do, to rooms that laugh at a people instead of at a joke, and he never agreed to any of it.
